Every Time., we are seeking a Director, Building Services & Facilities Management who will make a meaningful impact by playing a key leadership role in delivering the organization's strategic plan and advancing significant system transformation.

Your Role:
Reporting jointly to the Executive Vice President, Strategy, Research and Redevelopment and the Executive Vice President, Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer, the Director, Building Services & Facilities Management, provides strategic and operational leadership for Niagara Health's redevelopment portfolio, infrastructure planning, facilities management, and engineering services.

This role leads Niagara Health's redevelopment agenda while ensuring effective stewardship of facilities operations across a transitioning, multi-site portfolio with evolving service delivery models and partnerships, including DBFM arrangements. This role is undergoing significant evolution as Niagara Health advances its capital development strategy. The current portfolio includes five sites with a mix of traditional and DBFM partnership models; over the next several years, the portfolio will transition to three sites, with two operating under DBFM P3 partnerships and one site remaining under a traditional model.
A key priority is contract governance and performance management of related external service providers and infrastructure partners. The Director will support major initiatives such as the South Niagara Site and Welland redevelopment, ensuring delivery aligned to scope, schedule, budget, and regulatory requirements.

We are seeking an accomplished, results-oriented leader with a collaborative leadership style and significant experience leading complex infrastructure and facilities portfolios in large healthcare or similarly complex public-sector environments.
This position will be based at St. Catharines site and requires regular travel across all locations.

Key Responsibilities:
o Oversee the planning for FM related activities, alongside the redevelopment team, including third party contracts and operational implementations that impact the facilities
o Lead FM related operational readiness work
o Establish governance frameworks to ensure projects meet scope, budget, schedule, and quality targets
o Develop and implement a multi-year facilities renewal strategy aligned with organizational priorities
o Lead contract governance and performance management for DBFM partners, contractors, and service providers
o Support evolving facilities models, including redevelopment integration and site transitions
o Drive construction and project management excellence through risk mitigation and issue resolution
o Oversee facilities and engineering operations, including maintenance, plant operations, and building systems
o Lead and manage a team of professionals
o Responsible for oversight of retail vendors
o Provide financial oversight, of operating and capital project budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation
o Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and safety standards
o Support clinical and operational leaders with excellent customer service to align infrastructure with care delivery needs

Qualifications:
o Undergraduate degree in Architecture, Engineering, Business, Project Management or relevant field
o Master's degree in architecture, Engineering, Business, Project Management or relevant field preferred
o 10+ years of senior leadership experience in healthcare or complex public-sector environments
o Proven experience leading large-scale capital redevelopment and infrastructure projects
o Experience overseeing facilities operations, engineering services, and multi-site portfolios
o Strong expertise in contract management, governance, and procurement processes
o Knowledge of Ontario healthcare capital planning, Infrastructure Ontario frameworks, and regulatory standards
o Demonstrated strength in strategic planning, financial management, and performance measurement
o Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship management skills
o Experience leading change in complex, evolving environments
o Project Management Professional designation considered an asset
