POSITION OBJECTIVE:

QUALIFICATIONS:

o Knowledge of databases (detailed building asset inventory - structure and equipment life cycle database including condition assessment); ability to update, run reports, analyze data, develop briefing notes to assist with infrastructure renewal priorities
o Knowledge and experience using proper body mechanics to meet the physical requirements for the job including bending, prolonged positioning, standing, walking, ladder climbing and overhead work

Our centre has 3 Linear Accelerators and a CT simulator. The radiation therapist works within a multi-disciplinary department team consisting of Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, Oncology Nursing, Booking Clerks, Secretaries, and Health Care Aides who collaboratively provide comprehensive patient-centred support to create the best patient experience per the values of Niagara Health. The duties and responsibilities of the Radiation Therapist include administering radiation treatment according to a radiation oncologists' orders for the delivery of radiation planning and treatment, adherence to the College of Medical Radiation Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) Standards of Practice, documentation of technical and patient related treatment information, integrating reflection, critical thinking, education, and relevant practical experience in problem-solving. The Therapist will take active participation in quality assurance programs and will be required to perform other related duties and activities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Working to promote excellence, quality patient/client care and high professional standards, the Anaesthestic Assistant is an integral member of the perioperative team the anesthesia assistant (AA) participates in the care of the patient during general, regional or local anesthesia. In addition to providing technical support to the anesthesiologist for complex anesthesia equipment, the anesthesia assistant administers anesthetic gases and medications, performs activities such as the provision of conscious sedation, and is responsible for the insertion and management of intravenous and arterial lines. The AA provides constant assessment and evaluative monitoring of the depth of anesthesia using medical directives, as applicable. An AA's skills are required primarily within the pre-operative, surgical suite, and post-operative care areas, but also within clinical diagnostic areas where procedures using anesthesia are conducted. The AA is also an integral member of the allied health team to which there are accountabilities for professional practice, education and research. The incumbent will perform all other relevant duties assigned to ensure the efficient operation of the unit to which she/he is assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
