POSITION OBJECTIVE: Reporting to the Manager of Environmental Services, the Environmental Services Aide will perform a variety of service related activities including office cleaning, public areas cleaning, support service locations and the removal, proper segregation, documentation, and transportation of general/biomedical waste. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the distribution and collection of linen, daily upkeep and maintenance of nursing units including patient rooms, ordering & stocking of housekeeping supplies, and operating cleaning equipment. The incumbent may be responsible for floor restoration, wall washing, curtain changes and isolation cleaning. Shift rotations are subject to change.
QUALIFICATIONS: o Minimum grade 12 or equivalent. o Previous experience working in an Environmental Services capacity, preferably in a Healthcare setting. o Knowledge of the use of proper body mechanics to meet the physical demands of the job, for prolonged standing, walking, bending, lifting, and pushing/pulling carts. o Knowledge and understanding of WHMIS o Knowledge and understanding of the PIDAC Environmental Cleaning best practices. o Working knowledge of computers and entering online data i.e. Incident reporting. o Knowledge of the requirements and provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations. o Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team. o Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision. o Evidence of effective customer service, organizational, interpersonal, judgment and decision-making skills. o Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. o Must be available for all shifts including weekends, vacation replacement, sick time and paid holidays. o Consistent and regular attendance required. o Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset. o Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a new hire requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code

Reporting to the Site Director, Cardiology, the successful candidate will provide leadership for the Cardiology Program at the St. Catharines Site. The Clinical Manager will be responsible for the human and financial resources including budget, cost containment, supplies and equipment and is responsible for planning, administration and departmental operations. Duties include the delivery of quality patient care and safety in accordance with established Program and Hospital policies and procedures, legislative requirements, Standards of Practice and the Interprofessional Strategic Plan. The Clinical Manager has responsibility and accountability for patient care and staff performance and is accountable for professional development, implementation and evaluation of quality improvement initiatives, customer service and risk management of the assigned areas.
QUALIFICATIONS: o Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario or other Professional College o Bachelor of Science in Nursing or other healthcare professional o Two to five years of managerial/leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of educational training and experience o Education and experience in Cardiovascular o Previous experience in patient flow and bed management initiatives. o Demonstrated knowledge of the RHPA and Individual Regulatory College Standards of Practice o Demonstrated knowledge of Standards in Cardiac Care o Working knowledge of the Public Hospitals Act, regulated legislation, labour agreements, hospital policies and procedures. o Knowledge and application of evidence-based practice. o Demonstrated ability to lead teams and work effectively within an interdisciplinary team. o Demonstrated ability to manage a large and diversified workload with often rapidly changing priorities and challenging deadlines. o Evidence of effective customer service, judgment, critical thinking and decision-making skills. o Demonstrated excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. o Flexible, self-directed and able to multi-task. o Demonstrated commitment to continuing education in healthcare or business. o Ability to work in a matrix model, i.e. program and site. o Consistent and regular attendance required. o Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset

The Medical Laboratory Technologist will focus on continuous monitoring and improvement of practices in order to meet or exceed our patient/client needs and will support the mission, vision and values as determined by the Niagara Health System while providing safe and competent patient/client care. The successful candidate's home site will be the Welland Hospital Site and must be willing to work at two or more laboratory sites. Shifts will be regularly scheduled at both Welland Hospital Site and Greater Niagara General Site.
QUALIFICATIONS: o Graduate of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology Program o Current registration as a Medical Laboratory Technologist with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario with license to practice relevant specialties in Laboratory Medicine o Two years related clinical laboratory experience in the past five years in a similar hospital environment o Working knowledge of processing medical laboratory specimens o Applies knowledge, skills, judgment and competencies required for safe, independent and inter-disciplinary practice by meeting professional standards as outlined by the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario and related professional associations o Applies Niagara Health values and professional practice standards to patient/client care and service o Integrates reflection, critical thinking, education and relevant practical experience in problem solving o Working knowledge of computers, Laboratory Information Systems and other related Hospital systems o Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset o Consistent and regular attendance required

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Reporting to the Manager of Engineering, the incumbent works as part of the Engineering Services team to operate and maintain hospital building systems for Niagara Health, in optimal, safe working order in accordance with the Ontario regulations, CSA standards, building, fire codes and other related legislated requirements. Duties include maintenance of steam and hot water boilers, diesel generators, compressors, HVAC controls and equipment, system components, appliances and other equipment throughout the sites. Preventive maintenance duties will be performed as required. The successful candidate will work closely with the building automation and computerized maintenance management systems. The incumbent will be required to contribute to continuous Quality Improvement and Service Excellence, and will conform to all safety policies and procedures. The successful candidate will interact via pager, phone, verbal and written work requests, with all departments, contractors and internal customers. POSITION OBJECTIVE: Working to promote excellence, quality patient/client care and high professional standards, the Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for performing respiratory therapeutics, will work in critical care areas; perform mechanical ventilation, non-invasive ventilation and advanced respiratory procedures within the adult, pediatric and neonatal population. The position is responsible for the development and delivery of privacy training programs and tools for NH PHIPA agents. Must be knowledgeable regarding health privacy principles, PHIPA more specifically, access to information legislation, FIPPA (ideally) and/or the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, expectations of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario (IPC) and act as an expert resource on privacy and freedom of information (FOI) matters. The successful candidate will establish, maintain and revise relevant NH privacy/FOI policies, practices and protocols and liaise with the IPC.
RESPONSIBILITIES: o Ensures that NH is compliant with all relevant privacy and FOI legislation o Promotes awareness and understanding of privacy and FOI concepts across all units in the hospital o Develops and oversees processes for addressing privacy complaints and inquiries, investigating breaches and recommending correct actions o Develops and maintains a statistical framework for tracking all access and privacy requests and prepares annual privacy and freedom of information reports o Coordinates and conducts privacy auditing and monitoring activities o Contributes to the development and administration of NH privacy and FOI, policies and procedures o Develop and administer NH's privacy and FOI policies, ensuring alignment with legislative changes and IPC guidance o Act as a subject matter expert on privacy and FOI matters for NH management, conducting privacy impact assessments as necessary o Process FOI and complex privacy access requests o Review contracts for privacy and FOI-related clauses o Support the use of the hospital information system from the perspective of proactive auditing, reporting and developing training
QUALIFICATIONS: o University degree in Health Sciences, Business, Health Administration, Policy or a related field, or equivalent education and experience is an asset o Minimum 3-5 years experience working in a related field o Experience with privacy/FOI responsibilities, including interpreting legislation and implementing related programs in a healthcare setting o Strong interest in privacy and access policies, with awareness of current trends and legislative reforms o Privacy certification (IAPP Canadian Certification) and/or Health Information Management certification preferred; a willingness to pursue these continuing education opportunities is also valued o Knowledge of healthcare processes, quality improvement, compliance and ethics, statistical preparation, interpersonal skills, and adaptability o Excellent customer service, relationship management, organizational, interpersonal, communication, leadership, collaboration, judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills o Experience working with a hospital information system o Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and independently o Strong attendance record and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
