POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The successful candidate will also be responsible for the distribution and collection of linen, daily upkeep and maintenance of nursing units including patient rooms, ordering & stocking of housekeeping supplies, and operating cleaning equipment. The incumbent may be responsible for floor restoration, wall washing, curtain changes and isolation cleaning. Shift rotations are subject to change.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Minimum grade 12 or equivalent
o Previous experience working in an Environmental Services capacity, preferably in a Healthcare setting
o Knowledge of the use of proper body mechanics to meet the physical demands of the job, for prolonged standing, walking, bending, lifting, and pushing/pulling carts
o Knowledge and understanding of WHMIS
o Knowledge and understanding of the PIDAC Environmental Cleaning best practices
o Working knowledge of computers and entering online data i.e. Incident reporting
o Knowledge of the requirements and provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Under the supervision of the Pathologists, the successful candidate will perform functions associated with grossing surgical specimens and autopsy assistance. The Pathology Assistant duties will include but not be limited to prepare specimens from biopsies, surgical procedures and autopsies including tissue examination, dissection, and macroscopic dictation. The successful candidate will maintain extensive knowledge in anatomy, pathology, cancer staging and ongoing competency. The successful candidate will function as a team player working with other laboratory staff and/or healthcare professional to achieve optimum operation of the Niagara Health Laboratory Medicine Program. The successful candidate's home site will be the Marotta Family Hospital - St. Catharines, and must be willing to work at two or more laboratory sites.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Baccalaureate degree in Science with advance level courses in anatomy and physiology or Graduate of the Pathologist Assistant course or the equivalent in experience/training required (this may include an individual formally trained as a pathologist but does not currently have certification in Canada)
o Certified or the ability to become certified with the Canadian Certification Council of Pathologists' Assistants (CCCPA)
o Previous Pathologist Assistant experience with large cancerous specimens preferred
o Flexibility to work both independently and as a direct assistant to the pathologists

Reporting to the Director, Mental Health & Addiction Services, the Nurse Practitioner will work to promote clinical excellence, quality patient/client-centered care and high professional standards. The primary role of the Nurse Practitioner (NP) is the provision of general medical care and clinical leadership in the treatment and management of addiction services for clients of the Addictions program. The NP will be responsible for collaborative practice within a healthcare team along with independent practice within the full scope of an RN (EC). The NP will provide focused health assessments and treatments, complete procedures as needed, and be involved in case management, case consultation, education, and research activities that reflect recovery/client-centred care principles and values. The successful candidate will provide coverage as needed across the Addictions portfolio and will collaborate regularly with Mental Health and Emergency staff and physicians.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Registration in Good Standing with the Ontario College of Nurses - Extended Class License
o Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Masters in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing preferred
o Successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program from a recognized university
o Minimum of three years' experience in mental health or addictions setting
o Demonstrated knowledge of CNO Standards of Practice and commitment to maintaining reflective practice standards as described by the CNO
o Demonstrated knowledge of addictions and mental health required including ability to complete comprehensive mental status examinations with assessment of suicidal and homicidal risk
o Demonstrated knowledge of crisis intervention strategies and de-escalation approaches
o Current SMG (Safe Management Group) or Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training
o Working knowledge of the Regulated Health Profession Act, Health Care Consent Act, Substitute Decisions Act, and Personal Health Information Protection Act
o Working knowledge of formal and informal community services and resources within Niagara Region

Your Role:
As a Clinical Manager in the Emergency Program, you will be responsible for managing the department to meet organizational needs, aligning initiatives with the hospital's strategic plan, relevant legislation, and multi-union collective agreements. Reporting to the Program Director, you will oversee human, financial, and capital resources while monitoring operational effectiveness through key performance indicators and ensuring compliance with accreditation, licensing, professional regulatory, and safety standards. Working in a dyad model with physician leadership, the successful candidate will be a dynamic, results-oriented leader who excels in engaging people, promoting quality, building strong teams, and fostering an environment of clinical excellence and extraordinary care. Accountable for patient flow, people management, risk management, safety, and the delivery of a positive patient experience, you will demonstrate an innovative, creative, and collaborative management style. Through active engagement with patients, rounding with staff, and partnering with families and the community via our Niagara Health Engagement Network (NHEN).
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree in Nursing or other healthcare professional degree; Master's degree preferred
o Current registration with the relevant regulatory body and membership in applicable professional association
o Minimum five years of managerial/leadership experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
o Education and experience in emergency nursing preferred
o Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement, program design, evaluation, and evidence-based practice in Emergency Care
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conceptualize, interpret data, and execute a wide range of projects
o Proven project management skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources to achieve goals and objectives
o Experience in budget development, fiscal planning, and financial management, with the ability to monitor expenditures, analyze costs and variances, and make data-driven decisions to optimize resources
o Knowledge of legislation impacting clinical and labour practices and familiarity with the College of Nurses of Ontario Standards of Practice
o Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet challenging deadlines, and adapt to rapidly changing demands
o Proven ability to lead teams and work effectively within an inter-professional environment
o Superior interpersonal and leadership skills, including critical and strategic thinking, communication, conflict resolution, change management, organizational skills, decision-making, and customer service orientation

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Radiation Therapy Department at the Walker Family Cancer Centre (WFCC) is an expanding program that provides state-of-the-art treatment planning, simulation, and treatment for external beam radiation. Our centre has 3 Linear Accelerators and a CT simulator. The radiation therapist works within a multi-disciplinary department team consisting of Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, Oncology Nursing, Booking Clerks, Secretaries, and Health Care Aides who collaboratively provide comprehensive patient-centred support to create the best patient experience per the values of Niagara Health. The duties and responsibilities of the Radiation Therapist include administering radiation treatment according to a radiation oncologists' orders for the delivery of radiation planning and treatment, adherence to the College of Medical Radiation Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) Standards of Practice, documentation of technical and patient related treatment information, integrating reflection, critical thinking, education, and relevant practical experience in problem-solving. The Therapist will take active participation in quality assurance programs and will be required to perform other related duties and activities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Graduate of an accredited Medical Radiation Technology Program in Radiation Therapy
o Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario in Radiation Therapy M.R.T(T)
o Current CMRITO membership
o Current BCLS certification with ongoing re-certification mandatory
o Radiation Therapist experience of at least 3 years is an asset
o Excellent technical, communication, organizational, patient assessment, and critical analysis skills
o Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
o Demonstrated adaptability, flexibility, compassion, initiative when dealing with patients/families
