We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager for South Niagara Hospital (SNH) who can provide project management leadership and professional expertise to support the commissioning and successful delivery of this major capital redevelopment project. You will contribute to the safe, coordinated, and timely transition of this complex facility into operational readiness, ensuring alignment across construction, commissioning, clinical users, and organizational partners.

Your Role:

As the Project Manager, South Niagara Hospital, you will:

o Lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of all commissioning activities for the SNH project
o Support development of commissioning plans, procedures, and documentation and project manage their execution
o Work closely with the Director, Transaction & Construction to facilitate decision-making, issue resolution, and advancement of project milestones
o Liaise with Niagara Health user groups, consultants, advisors, and the Project Company (PCo) to ensure contractual commissioning requirements are met
o Monitor and report on adherence to contractual obligations and commissioning schedule milestones
o Identify project risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies for evaluation and resolution
o Manage required approvals and agreements in a timely and coordinated manner
o Prepare monthly progress reports outlining commissioning status, risks, and schedule updates for senior leadership
o Manage day-to-day commissioning planning and implementation activities
o Oversee the commissioning team and ensure integration with all related construction activities and services
o Conduct on-site reviews of construction and commissioning works
o Coordinate resolution of design, construction, commissioning, and contractual issues
o Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical affected parties to ensure operational needs are addressed during commissioning
o Lead preparation and resolution of commissioning deficiency (punch) lists in collaboration with consultants and PCo
o Work on-site five (5) days per week

Who You Are:

o Brings strong construction and commissioning expertise within complex infrastructure environments
o Has a solid understanding of building systems, scheduling practices, and large-scale project integration
o Is highly organized and comfortable managing multiple concurrent activities in a schedule-driven environment
o Demonstrates strong judgment and accountability in day-to-day project decision-making
o Communicates effectively with clinical leaders, technical teams, contractors, consultants, and executive affected parties
o Takes a proactive approach to identifying risks and driving solutions
o Thrives in fast-paced, results-oriented environments with high visibility and accountability
o Builds collaborative relationships and fosters alignment across multidisciplinary teams

Qualifications:

o Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
o 5-10+ years of progressive experience in construction, commissioning, or project management
o Demonstrated experience managing diverse teams of consultants, specialists, and user groups
o Strong construction and commissioning implementation experience
o Demonstrated understanding of construction and commissioning methods and processes
o Solid understanding of building systems and infrastructure
o Solid understanding of scheduling practices
o Proven ability to manage complex and concurrent project activities, meet deadlines, and manage change
o Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
o Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint

Assets Include:

o Experience with Bluebeam Revu
o Sustainable Design / LEED / WELL experience
o Accredited membership in a related professional association
o Healthcare capital planning project experience
o Knowledge of Ontario Building Code, CSA Standards, and other applicable regulations
o PMP designation
