POSITION OBJECTIVE:
As our organization prepares to open the New South Niagara Hospital Site, we are expanding our Technology Operations Team with a highly skilled Endpoint Technical Analyst. This role is essential to ensuring that thousands of endpoint devices - clinical workstations, mobile devices, peripherals, and operational hardware- are deployed, configured, secured, and fully ready to support patient care on day one.
The Endpoint Technical Analyst will play a hands-on, technical role in planning, configuring, deploying, and supporting endpoint technologies across the new hospital. This includes administration of Microsoft Intune, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Entra ID, and Active Directory; packaging and deploying operating systems and applications; and ensuring devices meet security, performance, and clinical workflow requirements.
The successful candidate will work closely with the SNS Project Team, IT teams, clinical programs, project managers, and vendors to ensure endpoint readiness aligns with organizational standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Endpoint Deployment & Readiness
o Support the planning, staging, configuration, and deployment of endpoint devices for the New South Hospital Site, including workstations, laptops, tablets, phones, printers, scanners, and clinical peripherals
o Execute large-scale OS deployments, driver updates, and application installations using Intune and SCCM
o Validate device configurations, performance, and workflow alignment through testing, pilots, and clinical simulations
o Maintain accurate device inventories, deployment schedules, and readiness documentation
Intune, SCCM & Entra ID Administration
o Administer Microsoft Intune for device enrollment, compliance policies, app deployment, patching, and configuration profiles
o Manage SCCM for OS imaging, software packaging, updates, and reporting
o Support Entra ID and Active Directory tasks including user administration, hybrid configurations, and group policy management
o Monitor and remediate security vulnerabilities across endpoints
Operational Support & Troubleshooting
o Respond to Service Desk incidents and requests related to endpoint devices, software, and configurations
o Troubleshoot hardware, OS, application, and connectivity issues, escalating when required
o Provide technical expertise during go-live, cutover, and stabilization periods for the new hospital
Standards, Documentation & Continuous Improvement
o Develop and maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks
o Contribute to the creation and implementation of endpoint management policies and standards
o Identify opportunities to improve deployment efficiency, device performance, and support processes
o Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in endpoint management
Collaboration & Engagement
o Work closely with clinical and operational teams to understand device needs and workflow requirements
o Collaborate with project managers, facilities teams, biomedical engineering, and vendors to coordinate deployment activities
o Build strong relationships across the organization to support a smooth technology transition into the new hospital
QUALIFICATIONS:
o College diploma in Computer Technology or University degree in Computer Science, OR 5-10 years of equivalent work experience
o Strong knowledge of Microsoft Intune and Entra ID (app deployments, patching, user administration, hybrid configurations)
o Strong experience with Microsoft System Center tools including SCCM and SCOM
o Expertise in Windows endpoint management, including OS deployments, driver updates, imaging, and security patching
o Experience with endpoint deployment at scale, ideally in a complex or multi-site environment
o Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, ITIL, SCCM, SCOM, Microsoft 365/Intune are preferred
o Healthcare experience is an asset, especially in hospital or clinical technology environments
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an aptitude for process evaluation
o Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to unfamiliar environments
o Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
o Proven ability to work with diverse internal and external affected parties and build strong working relationships
o Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
o Self-starter with a commitment to high performance and continuous improvement
o Consistent and reliable attendance
