We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our dedicated team. Reporting to the Manager of Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be involved in all aspects of the recruitment process, including job postings, interview question development, arranging and participating in interviews, short listing candidates, pre-screening, selection, referencing, and offers. The successful candidate will serve as an ambassador in recruitment efforts while promoting Niagara Health. Flexibility to attend occasional evening and weekend events for community outreach and recruitment activities is required. This position is anticipated to be 15 - 18 months in duration, with the possibility of extension.


Your Role:

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will:
o Establish and manage internal and external relationships while responsible for full cycle recruitment
o Provide advisory support to NH Leadership during the recruitment cycle and supportive forecasting for future needs
o Develop and execute engagement strategies to attract diverse and qualified candidates
o Represent the Hospital at career fairs, networking, community and student events and initiatives
o Collect and gather data for recruitment reports and trends, managing and analyzing recruitment statistics
o Provide strategic guidance re: external advertising venues and outreach to source external candidates
o Participate in other recruitment and human resources initiatives and projects as needed

Qualifications:

o Degree or diploma in Human Resources
o Minimum of 3 years experience working in a full scope recruitment function
o Experience in a high volume recruitment environment with a proven knowledge of recruitment best practices
o Demonstrated success conducting outreach with community organizations, schools, and other programs
o Evidence of excellent consultative, analytical, critical thinking, problem solving and interpersonal skills
o Demonstrated experience working in a unionized environment with knowledge of collective agreements
o Experience in a large healthcare setting is an asset
o Demonstrated professionalism and commitment to the vision and mission of NH
o Demonstrated ability to think strategically with the ability to multi-task and manage time and workload
o Self-directed work habits coupled with positive collaborative abilities
o Experience working with an HRIS as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office
o Consistent and regular attendance
