LOCATION: MULTI-SITE - SCS/WS/NFS
HOURS OF WORK: 75 HOURS PER PAY PERIOD

WAGE RANGE: $44.67 TO $57.90 PER HOUR

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Working to promote nursing excellence, quality client centered care and high professional standards, the MSW will work as an integral member of the Rapid Assessment Addiction Medicine (RAAM) Clinic providing addictions consultation, education and support to patients, families and care-givers within the Mental Health & Addictions Program. The MSW will provide leadership, expert practice, education, consultation and research within a collaborative and inter-professional clinical team environment that reflects recovery/client centered principles, values and standards of care for mental health and addictions care.

QUALIFICATIONS:
o Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) required
o Current registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)
o Demonstrated knowledge of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers Standards of Practice and commitment to maintaining reflective practice standards as described by OCSWSSW
o Minimum of three years' related clinical experience in a mental health and/or addictions setting
o Strong clinical experience working with individuals living with trauma and concurrent disorders
o Working knowledge of Trauma Informed Care approaches, Motivational interviewing and other evidence-informed therapeutic interventions and therapies specific to the concurrent disorders population
o Current SMG (Safe Management Group) or Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training
o Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation including the Mental Health Act, Health Care Consent Act and Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) o Demonstrated commitment to professional development, ongoing education and integration of research into clinical practice
o Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive concurrent disorder assessments
o Demonstrated organizational, problem solving, decision making, conflict resolution and critical thinking skills
o Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and effective oral and written communication skills
o Ability to foster collaborative working relationships
o Working knowledge of formal and informal community services and resources within Niagara Region
o Able to work both independently and as part of the multi-disciplinary team
o Applies Niagara Health values and professional practice standards to patient/client care and service
o Must be willing to work flexible hours (including evening hours) to reflect patient population needs
o Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation as inter-site visits are required
o Consistent and regular attendance is required
