POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Working in a dyad model with physician leadership, the Clinical Manager will drive effective operations and foster community and academic partnerships aimed at improving transitions of care for the patients and communities we serve.

Reporting to the Director of Access and Flow, the successful individual will be accountable for the delivery of a positive patient experience, patient flow, people management, risk management and safety, and the provision of high quality care. Working in a dyad model with physician leadership, the Clinical Manager will drive effective operations and foster community and academic partnerships aimed at improving transitions of care for the patients and communities we serve.

We are seeking a highly motivated, self-directed, results oriented leader who consistently demonstrates an innovative, creative, and collaborative management style. Niagara Health engages in partnership with our patients, families and community through our Niagara Health Engagement Network (NHEN). The successful candidate will foster an environment of clinical excellence and extraordinary care. On-call shifts required.


QUALIFICATIONS:
o Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, or other Professional College
o Bachelor's degree in Nursing or other healthcare professional degree; Master's degree preferred
o Three to five years of managerial/leadership experience, or equivalent combination of education/training and experience
o Demonstrated evidence of Project Management skills involving planning, organizing, securing and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific goals and objectives
o Demonstrated experience in budget development, fiscal planning, and financial management, with a proven ability to monitor and control expenditures in line with organizational goals and priorities
o Dynamic interpersonal and leadership skills including critical thinking, communication, responsiveness, conflict resolution, change management, people management, visionary thinking, customer service, and problem solving
o Demonstrated results in aligning program goals with corporate strategy, and NH Purpose
o Ability to build and lead a cohesive team, through engagement, transparency, respect and responsiveness
o Demonstrated commitment to an exceptional patient experience including access, flow, quality and patient satisfaction
o Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data and utilize information in order to make effective financial decisions
o Experience in the analysis and utilization of data to drive continuous quality improvement
o Experience in the management of risk and safety for patients and staff
o Proven experience in building external and community partnerships
o Working knowledge of the Public Hospitals Act, regulated legislation, labour agreements, hospital policies/ procedures
o Project Management, Leadership, Healthcare Finance, LEAN or other related certification(s) will be an asset
o Demonstrated commitment to continuing education in the health or business sectors
