WAGE RANGE: $59.949 TO $70.515
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
In alignment with the Mission and Values of Niagara Health, we are recruiting a dynamic leader who excels in engaging people, promoting quality, building successful teams, planning and decision making. Reporting to the Clinical Manager of the Operating Room/Day Surgery/ Post Anesthetic Recovery Room and Pre-admission clinic, the successful individual will be responsible for the operational management of the Operating Room/Day Surgery Unit/Post Anesthetic Recovery Room and Pre-admission clinic. In this role, you will be accountable for the patient experience, day-to-day operations, patient flow, people management, fiscal stewardship, risk management and safety, and the provision of high quality care through a commitment to continuous improvement. We are seeking a highly motivated, self-directed, results oriented leader who consistently demonstrates an innovative, creative, and collaborative leadership style. QUALIFICATIONS:
o Bachelor's degree in Nursing or other healthcare professional degree; Master's degree preferred but will consider applicant with extensive perioperative specialty knowledge and clinical leadership experience
o Current registration with relevant regulatory body and membership in applicable professional association
o Minimum of 5 years perioperative clinical experience
o Certification in perioperative services considered an asset
o Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of quality improvement
o Sound analytical skills including; conceptualizing, developing and executing a wide variety of projects
o Working knowledge of the Public Hospitals Act, regulated legislation, labour agreements, hospital policies/ procedures
o Demonstrated knowledge of the College of Nurses of Ontario Standards of Practice and application
o Demonstrated knowledge and application of evidence-based practice
o Demonstrated ability to lead teams and work effectively within an inter-professional team
o Demonstrated ability to manage a large/diversified workload with rapidly changing priorities and challenging deadlines
o Superior interpersonal and leadership skills including but not limited to; critical thinking, communication, responsiveness, conflict resolution, change management, visionary thinking, organizational skills, effective customer service, decision-making skills and problem solving
o Demonstrated commitment to continuing education in healthcare and/or business
o Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset
o Consistent and regular attendance required
