WAGE RANGE: $40.116 to $45.388 per hour
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Reporting to the Manager of Wellness & Health Promotion, the Consultant will provide advice, training and support to leaders as it pertains to applying the Niagara Health Attendance Support Program. As the primary point of contact for leaders with respect to attendance support, this role is responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of consistent attendance support practices across Niagara Health. The Attendance Promotion Consultant will also provide leaders and the Senior Team with regular attendance statistics and is responsible for monitoring and analyzing metrics. The incumbent will maintain an awareness of, and promote best practices for managing absenteeism in the workplace, develop strategies to promote attendance based on data analysis and make recommendations to achieve attendance goals. The consultant is a key member in wellness promotion activities and programming throughout Niagara Health.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o University degree related to Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related health care field
o 3-5 years' experience in a Human Resources generalist role or experience in attendance management is preferred
o Knowledge of attendance management programs, practise and related issues is preferred
o Demonstrated ability in analyzing data and providing guidance and support to management and senior leadership in regards to attendance and ability management
o Knowledge of employment related legislation and current employment practices
o Experience working in a multi-unionized environment is preferred
o Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective presentation skills, proven conflict resolution and negotiation skills, along with a strong work ethic
o Proficient computer skills including advanced ability with Microsoft Office Programs, particularly Excel
o Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
o Evidence of effective customer service, organizational, interpersonal, communication, leadership, judgment, critical thinking and decision-making skills
o Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
o Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision
o Must be a team player
o Consistent and regular attendance
