POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Translation Network, a Ministry of Health-funded program hosted by Niagara Health, is seeking a translator to ensure English to French translation services of public-facing resources for health care providers across Ontario. The successful candidate will translate into French a variety of documents intended for the general public; ensure quality of documents translated by freelance translators; proofread formatted translations; create terminology records and lexicons; liaise with clients and freelance translators. While the position is based out of the Welland Site, remote work is a possibility.

QUALIFICATIONS:
o University degree in translation from a recognized institution or accreditation from a recognized professional translators association
o Three years of recent experience in translation and revision from English to French
o Superior oral and written communication skills in English and French
o Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet conflicting deadlines
o Strong organizational skills
o Strong attention to detail
o Excellent analytical and research skills
o Effective interpersonal, judgment, and decision-making skills
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team
o Knowledge of health terminology and the Ontario health care system
o Familiarity with Logiterm
o Consistent and regular attendance

OBJECTIF DU POSTE :
Le Réseau de traduction, un programme financé par le ministère de la Santé et établi à Santé Niagara, est à la recherche d'un traducteur ou d'une traductrice pour traduire de l'anglais au français des ressources produites par des fournisseurs de soins de santé de la province. La personne retenue traduira une variété de documents destinés au grand public; assurera la qualité des textes traduits par des pigistes; veillera à la correction d'épreuves des textes traduits; créera des fiches terminologiques et des lexiques; et nouera des liens avec les clients et les pigistes. Bien que le poste soit situé à l'emplacement de Welland, le télétravail peut être envisagé.

COMPÉTENCES :
o Diplôme universitaire en traduction d'un établissement reconnu ou agrément d'une association professionnelle de traducteurs reconnue
o Trois années d'expérience récente en traduction et en révision de l'anglais au français
o Aptitudes supérieures à la communication orale et écrite, tant en anglais qu'en français
o Capacité à établir des priorités, à gérer de nombreuses tâches et à respecter les échéances conflictuelles
o Bon sens de l'organisation
o Grand souci du détail
o Solides capacités d'analyse et de recherche
o Entregent, jugement et bonne capacité de prise de décision
o Capacité de travailler de façon autonome et au sein d'une équipe
o Connaissance du système de santé de l'Ontario et de la terminologie liée au domaine de la santé
