HOURS OF WORK: 75 HOURS PER PAY PERIOD; MONDAY TO FRIDAY

WAGE RANGE: $40.116 TO $45.388 per hour
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Reporting to the Manager, Crp. Scheduling, the successful candidate will be responsible for the daily supervision and coordination of departmental tasks and operations. This position will liaise with departments to identify and resolve problems that may impact the operations of the Crp. Scheduling office. They will support the department's staff and will play a key role in solving system based issues by supporting and maintaining expertise with the staff scheduling system. The Supervisor will work to improve service to ensure scheduling and attendance processes are effective.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
o The Supervisor will participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of service goals and objectives
o Liaise between CSO activities and Leaders, HR, payroll with respect to the needs of the corporation, and identifies trends/potential issues in scheduling practices across the organization
o Analyze needs of the CSO to promote clear understanding of quality processes to optimize workflow and coach/mentor staff with respect to new and existing processes/procedures and enhancements
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Successful completion of a business diploma or relevant program required
o Minimum of 2 years supervisory or leadership role for multi-site organization
o Previous experience with scheduling
o Good knowledge of Kronos, Microsoft Office Programs, Meditech
o Previous experience with payroll recording
o Sound knowledge of the union Collective Agreements as they pertain to scheduling related provisions would be an asset
o Superior customer service, team building, coaching and mentoring skills
o Evidence of a high degree of accuracy in keyboarding skills
o Ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment
o Ability to process scheduling information in a time sensitive, accurate manner with attention to detail
o Evidence of effective organizational, interpersonal, communication, judgment and decision making skills
o Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision
o Consistent and regular attendance required
