POSITION OBJECTIVE: Reporting to the Manager of Environmental Services, the Environmental Services Aide will perform a variety of service related activities including office cleaning, public areas cleaning, support service locations and the removal, proper segregation, documentation, and transportation of general/biomedical waste. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the distribution and collection of linen, daily upkeep and maintenance of nursing units including patient rooms, ordering & stocking of housekeeping supplies, and operating cleaning equipment. The incumbent may be responsible for floor restoration, wall washing, curtain changes and isolation cleaning. Shift rotations are subject to change.
QUALIFICATIONS: o Minimum grade 12 or equivalent. o Previous experience working in an Environmental Services capacity, preferably in a Healthcare setting. o Knowledge of the use of proper body mechanics to meet the physical demands of the job, for prolonged standing, walking, bending, lifting, and pushing/pulling carts. o Knowledge and understanding of WHMIS o Knowledge and understanding of the PIDAC Environmental Cleaning best practices. o Working knowledge of computers and entering online data i.e. Incident reporting. o Knowledge of the requirements and provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations. o Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team. o Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision. o Evidence of effective customer service, organizational, interpersonal, judgment and decision-making skills. o Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. o Must be available for all shifts including weekends, vacation replacement, sick time and paid holidays. o Consistent and regular attendance required. o Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset. o Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a new hire requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code

o Bachelor in Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline with Accounting major. o Enrolled in the CPA Professional Education Program, completing Core and Elective modules or Capstone modules in achieving the CPA designation o Understanding of GAAP and Ministry Information Standards (OHRS/MIS certificate) practices. o Experience in financial analysis and interpretation of results including accruals, prepaid, budget variances and payroll analysis. o Advanced computer skills specifically in the use of Excel and experience with Crystal Reports, Access, and Power Point. o Strong working knowledge of financial software packages especially General Ledger and Payroll systems; MediTech financial systems experience an asset. o Excellent attention to detail. o Evidence of effective organizational, interpersonal, communication, leadership, judgment, critical thinking and decision-making skills. o Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team. o Demonstrated ability to manage a diversified workload, multiple task and work within tight deadlines. o Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision. o Consistent and regular attendance required o Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Reporting to the Manager of Nutrition and Food Services, the successful candidate will work in a team based environment performing a variety of service related duties in the kitchen and/or nursing units. Duties include meal tray assembly, portioning foods, delivering meal carts, washing service ware, and basic food preparation. Duties also include delivery/retrieval of food trays, and delivering nourishment snacks. Shift rotations are subject to change.
QUALIFICATIONS: o Minimum grade 12 or equivalent o Food Handlers Certificate required o Institutional food service experience preferred o Familiarity with therapeutic diets o Knowledge of safe food handling o Ability to perform repetitive motions and lift an average of 15 lbs o Knowledge of proper body mechanics to meet the physical demands of the job for prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting o Evidence of effective customer service, organizational, interpersonal, communication, judgment and decision-making skills o Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team o Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision o Must be available for all shifts including weekends o Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset o Consistent and regular attendance required
