POSITION OBJECTIVE:

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

QUALIFICATIONS:
o Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
o One year related clinical experience in the past three years in a critical care environment.
o Current BCLS and ACLS certification.
o Critical Care Certificate and or Critical Care Designation(CNA).
o Controlled acts authorized to nursing in the critical care setting and/or delegated controlled acts.
o Current knowledge and understanding of the Standards for Critical Care Nursing in accordance with the Canadian Association of Critical Care Nurses (CACCN).
o Demonstrated knowledge and skill in physical assessment (Physical Assessment Course preferred).
o Arterial line monitoring, management of cardiac and or respiratory arrest and ROSC.
o Knowledge and experience with cardiac monitoring and interpretation including; hemodynamic monitoring, 12 lead ECG interpretation, defibrillation, cardioversion, pacing and mechanical ventilation.
o Demonstrated proficiency in IV Therapy Initiation, direct IV drug administration, vasoactive and emergency medications.
o Knowledge and experience with advanced pain management, including epidurals and pain pumps.
o Demonstrated ability to develop an integrated plan of care.
o Applies knowledge, skills, judgment and competencies required for safe, independent and inter-disciplinary practice by meeting nursing practice standards as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario and related professional associations.

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Niagara Health is embarking on a clinical transformation spearheaded by the implementation of a new Oracle Health Hospital Information System (HIS) in November 2024. At-The-Elbow Support (HIS Project Support) candidates will report into the Manager, Training & Conversion and will provide hands-on support to approximately 6,000+ users of the HIS during Go-Live. They will work closely with the Training Team, Super Users, HIS Project Managers and other Managers and Workflow Specialists, and will be trained before Go-Live to support end users, especially in clinical areas, at Niagara Health and Hotel Dieu Shaver sites.

Preparing for clinical transformation requires a dedicated team that brings together clinical, Digital, and other functional expertise. We are excited to start building the team that will focus on end user support during the go-live period. This opportunity will provide the applicants with experience in a fast-paced hospital environment, knowledge of healthcare workflows, work with cross-functional teams, and project management-coordination experience.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

o Attend education and training sessions on the HIS and meet required competency level using the system;
o Partner with the HIS Education & Training team, Super Users, and Command Centre staff to plan and coordinate training and Go-Live activities;
o Participate in readiness events;
o Attend meetings with clinical and administrative stakeholders;

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Functioning as a member of the medical team, the Nurse Practitioner is responsible for ongoing assessment, planning, management
and treatment of patients following the scope of practice and standards as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario and
Canadian Nurses Association. The Nurse Practitioner will report directly to the Site Director and will provide leadership and promote
excellence in patient-centred care through expert practice, education, leadership, and research. The successful candidate will
provide care with an emphasis on wellness, prevention and disease management through direct patient care, health promotion and
education, outreach, and advocacy and will collaborate with physician partners as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
o Current registration in good standing as a Registered Nurse Extended Class Primary Health Care or Adult Certification with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
o Completion of Nurse Practitioner Program
o Must have successfully completed CNO approved controlled substances education
o Must have professional Liability Protection (RNAO or equivalent)
o Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Nurse Practitioner in Acute Care
o Minimum of 5 years' clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in Acute Care
o Demonstrated clinical leadership skills to organize and coordinate the care of patients in collaboration with patients, families, physicians, and the health care team
o Proven success in providing inspirational leadership in a team environment and ability to encourage innovation and creativity amongst team members required
o Ability to promote professional education and advanced knowledge through research and evaluation/quality improvement activities related to care of patients throughout the continuum

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Regional Resource Centre Operator carries out all activities associated with smooth functioning of the hospital switchboard operation and Resource Centre operation by processing incoming/outgoing calls for all NH sites, Providing information, paging, and responsibility for NH on call schedules, handling of all codes, and after hours paging for all NH on call staff. Staff are also responsible for communication when downtime and emergency procedures are in effect. Processing requests for maintenance, biomed and housekeeping for all NH sites, contacting on call staff for call backs using an online model, scheduling as required. Ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS:
o Post-Secondary Diploma
o Medical Terminology Certificate
o One year related experience within Switchboard/Resource Centre, Call Centre , Dispatching or clerical experience in a hospital setting
o One year with EZ Call, patient transport and on call process
o Demonstrated working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Outlook, AIMs, QFM, Arc Solutions and Meditech Systems
o Demonstrated work experience in multi-tasking and ability to work well under pressure
o Strong written and verbal communication skills
o Experience in operating office equipment such as: cell phone, photocopier, fax, printer, multiple line telephones & headset
o Accurate keyboarding skills with a minimum of 50 w.p.m.
o Must have the manual dexterity required for handling equipment and supplies
o Demonstrated commitment to patient/client centered care.

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Functioning as a team player, the Medical Laboratory Assistant will support all staff in the provision of quality laboratory services to assist physicians and other health care providers in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease. POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Social Worker in the emergency department assesses patients and plans/implements evidence based treatment. The Social Worker, using a patient and family-centred approach, will provide individual treatment, with a focus on various therapeutic techniques, including Dialectical Behavioural Therapy. The successful candidates will promote a psychosocial perspective congruent with social work training.

As a member of the interprofessional team, participates in formulation of individual treatment programs; collaborates with other interprofessional staff and community partners to develop, implement and evaluate person/family-centred programming. Maintains Standards of Practice as defined by the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. The successful candidate's home site will be the St. Catharines Site; however, travel between sites of Niagara Health will be required. Evening, holiday and weekend hours will be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
o MSW from an accredited University
o Current registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers (OCSWSSW) required
o Membership with the Ontario Association of Social Workers required
o Recent experience in a high volume emergency department
o Minimum of three years recent experience in a mental health setting
o Demonstrated knowledge, sensitivity, and expertise in the care of older adults and their families
o Demonstrated current knowledge of the signs and symptoms of mental illness, social work intervention strategies, and treatment modalities for clients with psychiatric disorders
o Understanding of the social determinants of health, and the social consequences and risk factors associated with serious mental illnesses (e.g., homelessness, suicide, stigma, addiction, involvement with the criminal justice system).
o Experience working with equity-seeking populations (i.e. Elderly, LGBTQ2S+, Mental Health, Addictions, Homeless, and Indigenous)
o Demonstrated crisis intervention, case management skills, knowledge of behavioral techniques, one-on-one counselling and family counselling
o Knowledge of community resources (i.e. addiction resources, harm reduction programs, treatment programs, counselling resources)
o Demonstrated knowledge, training and recent experience in providing individual Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing
o Demonstrated capacity to work autonomously as well as in collaboration within an interprofessional healthcare team
o Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, which includes Mental Health Act, Healthcare Consent Act, and Substitute Decisions Act
