POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The successful candidate will also be responsible for the distribution and collection of linen, daily upkeep and maintenance of nursing units including patient rooms, ordering & stocking of housekeeping supplies, and operating cleaning equipment. QUALIFICATIONS:
o Minimum grade 12 or equivalent
o Previous experience working in an Environmental Services capacity, preferably in a Healthcare setting
o Knowledge of the use of proper body mechanics to meet the physical demands of the job, for prolonged standing, walking, bending, lifting, and pushing/pulling carts
o Knowledge and understanding of WHMIS
o Knowledge and understanding of the PIDAC Environmental Cleaning best practices
o Working knowledge of computers and entering online data i.e. Incident reporting
o Knowledge of the requirements and provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
o Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Functioning as a team player, the Medical Laboratory Technologist will support all staff in the provision of quality laboratory services to assist physicians and other health care providers in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease. This includes performing quality laboratory testing according to legislative requirements in all of the following specialties: Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine and specimen collection and handling.
The Medical Laboratory Technologist will focus on continuous monitoring and improvement of practices in order to meet or exceed our patient/client needs and will support the mission, vision and values as determined by the Niagara Health System while providing safe and competent patient/client care. The successful candidate's home site will be the Niagara Falls Site and travel between sites may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
o Graduate of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology Program

o Two years related clinical laboratory experience in the past five years in a similar hospital environment

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Radiation Therapy Department at the Walker Family Cancer Centre (WFCC) is an expanding program that provides state-of-the-art treatment planning, simulation, and treatment for external beam radiation. POSITION OBJECTIVE:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o Manages calendars: schedules appointments, meetings, and conferences; coordinates all internal and external bookings including meeting space and conference attendance; ensures all appointments are properly coordinated and confirmed
o Prepares memos, letters, presentations, emails, and other communications for internal and external audiences
o Serves as a point of contact for internal and external communications including phone calls, emails, and mail
o Triages inquiries from staff, volunteers, physicians, visitors, and others; provides excellent customer service and redirects as necessary
o Maintains office supplies inventory and places orders for necessary supplies as needed, in accordance to approved budgets, polices, and guidelines

o Supports Accounts payable system by verifying invoice information, providing general ledger coding, and uploading invoices

o Prepare Accounts payable physician payment plans, invoices and cheque requisitions for approval
o Maintain and prepare all financial physician payment documents for Ministry reporting and external audit purposes
o Analyze bank statements, summarize activity and prepares monthly cashflow statements for various bank accounts
o Prepare online banking systems transfers between accounts, process timely online payments, distribute online banking statements, and summarize payments as required
o Upload journal entries to the General Ledger through Crystal reports
o Participates in or assists with special projects, presentations, or analysis tasks, as assigned
o Provides other members of the team with various administrative support, as needed
o Takes initiative to improve office procedures, and operational efficiencies where applicable

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
o Influences program leaders to maximize employee contribution, advance business priorities, and enhance the organizational culture and overall engagement. Supports the development and execution of people strategies and the NH strategic plan.
o Works closely with program leadership to understand their business drivers, enablers and partner on design of integrated people solutions created to support their business objectives and people requirements
o Analyzes Health Human Resources across the program to identify areas of greatest need through intervention
o Advises and develops strategies on succession planning, career planning, staff development and learning
o Consults with Leaders in the development of performance coaching and development programs, advising on a range of human resources issues and solutions, aligning staff to business objectives, conducting team facilitation sessions.
o Provides leadership, advice and guidance on business planning & organizational issues in support of strategic and operational objectives and people management strategies
o Leads client based strategic HR projects (or the HR portion of a larger operational project) that are complex and/or multifaceted in nature
o Influences client on HR projects while levering HR competency or subject matter expertise
o Facilitates succession planning initiatives for client groups, in partnership with OD
o Provides HR leadership in Client Group organizational change
o Provides insights to the HR specialist areas on the unique needs of client business, work cultures, and operational opportunities/risks in order to support the development, launch, and ongoing maintenance of key HR programs
o Advocates on behalf of the clients and on behalf of HR to facilitate consistency in practice, sound solutions, and a high degree of collaboration between HR and business partners
o Provides research and metric analysis, presentation and recommendations
o Interprets, evaluates, and diagnoses effectiveness and efficiencies, using client group people metrics
o Presents metrics, themes, recommended actions and interventions with leadership teams
o Supports long-term HR strategic planning efforts with clients, using metrics
o Performs ad-hoc analysis to support client's business and HR program delivery
o Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned or required


QUALIFICATIONS:
o Completion of a post-secondary program specializing in Human Resources or Business Administration required
o Additional certifications or diplomas in Human Resource Management is required
o Professional certification in Human Resources, such as the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) or equivalent is preferred
o A minimum of 7 years of broad experience in Human Resources within multiple functional HR areas
o Work experience in a multi-unionized setting preferred
o Project management experience and creating project plans
o Demonstrated competence in the following: solutions orientation, performance management and coaching, cultural development and sustainment, influence potential, data literacy and employee engagement strategies
o Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
o Excellent research skills to identify and recommend changes or improvements to new and existing processes to ensure correct application of legislative, policy and collective agreement entitlements
o Excellent written communication and presentation, skills, with a focus on quality
o Excellent computer skills in all Microsoft Office applications required
o Demonstrated ability to handle a large and diversified workload with often rapidly changing priorities and challenging deadlines
o Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, judgment and decision-making skills
o Flexible, self-directed, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision
o Demonstrated professionalism and commitment to the purpose, vision and values of NH
o Consistent and regular attendance required
o Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset

QUALIFICATIONS:
o Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
o Successful completion of the Personal Support Worker Program or equivalent education as a RN student completion of year 2 or greater, RPN student completion of term 2 or greater
o Current CPR
o Two years related clinical experience in the past five years with the geriatric population
o Demonstrated knowledge of the Nursing Homes Act and all applicable legislation, specifically Long Term Care Homes Act 2007 and Ontario regulations 79/10
o Bilingual in English and French an asset
o Demonstrated commitment to patient/client centred care
o Applies Niagara Health values and professional practice standards to patient/client care and service
o Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other members of the Inter-professional Team
