POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Niagara Health's Cyber Security Systems Administrator will focus on Identity and Access Management, and is the guardian of staff identity and access and is responsible for safeguarding critical and confidential information belonging to Niagara Health. The Systems Administrator is responsible for account life cycle management and auditing as appropriate. The Systems Administrator participates in the development of workflows, system configuration, documentation, optimization and support related to access, while working with application teams to deploy new applications and functionality. The Administrator effectively communicates department and organization wide policies and procedures impacting Identity and Access management to end users, leadership, and peers to ensure compliant practices. In addition, the Systems Administrator provides guidance on optimizing security build based on appropriate minimum necessary standards. The Administrator is responsible for the on-going maintenance, testing, support and optimization of Identity Governance and Role Based Access Control (RBAC). The Systems Administrator works independently, holds team and organization level responsibilities and leads small to medium scale projects. The Administrator assists other team members and leaders related to identity and access management and participates in continuous improvement activities. This individual also participates in the planning and implementation of security policies and procedures that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. This role takes part of the on-call rotation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Participate in projects and production support operations focused on implementing Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Roles Based Access Control (RBAC)
o Plan, build, test, manage, and update security for the protection of and access to Niagara Health systems and IAM technologies
o Act as the subject matter expert for Identity Governance and RBAC
o Plan, build, test, manage, and update security for the protection of and access to organizational systems
o Assist in efficiency improvements by recommending process changes and developing solutions to automate and orchestrate repeatable IAM tasks.
o Support enrollment and operations of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Single Sign-On (SSO), and other IAM tools
o Design and manage PAM policies, workflows, and integrations to enforce least privilege principles and secure privileged accounts
o Support implementation of session monitoring and password vaulting for privileged accounts to prevent unauthorized access and ensure traceability of privileged activities
o Assist in efficiency improvements by recommending process changes as well as developing solutions to automate and orchestrate repeatable tasks for IAM
o Knowledge to identify potential threats so that the organization can protect itself from malicious hackers and threats, and penetration testing to test networks, computers, web-based application to detect exploitable vulnerabilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Three-year diploma or undergraduate degree in a health or computer science related field
o 3-5 years experience in working in a cyber security role
o Healthcare Experience would be an asset
o One or more of the following certifications is required Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) CompTIA Security+ or other IAM tools CompTIA Security+
o Experience with IAM and PAM solutions, including tools like SailPoint, CyberArk, or similar platforms
o Demonstrated success administrating and use of Identity Management and Access tools
o Demonstrated success with the development of workflows and documentation related to identity and access management
o Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of cyber security solutions, systems, or products
o Proven analytical skills with an aptitude for process evaluation and problem-solving
o Experience with hospital-based computer systems
o Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
o Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
o Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision
o Consistent and regular attendance required
o English is required, French is an asset
