HOURS OF WORK: 75 HOURS PER PAY PERIOD; DAYS, EVENINGS, WEEKENDS & NIGHTS

WAGE RANGE: $36.84 TO $51.77 PER HOUR
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Working to promote Imaging excellence, quality patient/client-centred care and high professional standards, the MRT (MR) will be responsible for the patient assessment, exam completion, documentation and evaluation of images. The objective of the MRT (MR) is to provide safe and competent exams through the application of imaging knowledge, the technical aspects of professional practice and the demonstration of compassion, professionalism and respect. The successful candidate's home site will be the St. Catharines Site and hours of work may be required at other Niagara Health sites.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Graduate of an accredited Magnetic Resonance Imaging Program
o Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Imaging Technologists of Ontario MRT(MR)
o One year MRI experience in the past five years in a similar hospital setting
o Certification in intravenous set up and contrast media administration
o Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the production and assessment of diagnostic radiographs and MRI images
o Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development
o Applies knowledge, skills, judgment and competencies required for safe, independent and inter-disciplinary practice by meeting MRI and Radiography practice standards as outlined by the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario
o Applies Niagara Health values and professional practice standards to patient/client care and service
o Integrates reflection, critical thinking, education and relevant practical experience in problem solving
o Working knowledge of Hospital and Diagnostic Imaging Information and Imaging Systems and other related computer systems
o Consistent and regular attendance required
o Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset
