WAGE RANGE: $55.385 TO $62.663 PER HOUR
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Reporting to the Director, Strategy & ePMO, the Manager Strategic Projects will play a key role in shaping the future of care by supporting government relations and capital and redevelopment projects across Niagara Health (NH) sites. The Manager will lead engagement with key partners and manage project-related communications to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
As an integral member of the Strategy and Communications team, the Manager will take a leadership role in the management and organization of all aspects of partnerships for redevelopment and renovation projects. The successful candidate will also work closely with the Capital & Facilities team to understand and plan for key capital project initiatives as prioritized by the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Support the planning and execution of new capital and renovation projects
o Develop and manage provincial and federal government relationships to advance projects
o Develop and implement strategies to effectively manage key partner groups, including all levels of government, throughout the planning process
o Advise the senior executive team on proactive and reactive strategies related to reputational risks
o Develop and execute internal and external communications materials for key stakeholders
o Develop and execute on a stakeholder map to health and community partners to create opportunities for collaboration
o Oversee the development and implementation of plans related to internal interested and affected parties
o Develop plans for external engagement for projects
o Ensure internal engagement schedules are aligned with capital and redevelopment projects across the organization
o Measure the effectiveness of engagement and related communications activities
o Continuously propose and develop new strategies to better support stronger working external relationships and stakeholder communications
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Health Administration, Public Administration, Political Science, Engineering, Design Technology, or recognized equivalent required
o Minimum of five (5) years of experience in government relations, public sector project management, or strategic project management in the health sector
o Proven experience with Ministry of Health (MOH) Capital Planning, Infrastructure Ontario (IO), Ministry of Finance (MOF), and Municipal Planning
o Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
o Excellent time management and organizational abilities
o Effective problem-solving and resolution skills
o Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
o Strong analytical capabilities
o Ability to produce high-quality reports and meet deadlines
