LOCATION: ON-SITE - POSITIONS AVAILABLE AT ALL HOSPITAL SITES
HOURS OF WORK: UP TO 75 HOURS PER PAY PERIOD, VARYING SHIFTS (DAYS, EVENINGS, WEEKENDS)
DURATION: APPROX. SEPTEMBER - DECEMBER

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Niagara Health is embarking on a clinical transformation spearheaded by the implementation of a new Oracle Health Hospital Information System (HIS) in November 2024. At-The-Elbow Support (HIS Project Support) candidates will report into the Manager, Training & Conversion and will provide hands-on support to approximately 6,000+ users of the HIS during Go-Live. They will work closely with the Training Team, Super Users, HIS Project Managers and other Managers and Workflow Specialists, and will be trained before Go-Live to support end users, especially in clinical areas, at Niagara Health and Hotel Dieu Shaver sites.
Preparing for clinical transformation requires a dedicated team that brings together clinical, Digital, and other functional expertise. We are excited to start building the team that will focus on end user support during the go-live period. This opportunity will provide the applicants with experience in a fast-paced hospital environment, knowledge of healthcare workflows, work with cross-functional teams, and project management-coordination experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Attend education and training sessions on the HIS and meet required competency level using the system;
o Partner with the HIS Education & Training team, Super Users, and Command Centre staff to plan and coordinate training and Go-Live activities;
o Participate in readiness events;
o Attend meetings with clinical and administrative stakeholders;
o Attend project team meetings on a regular basis and create minutes and agenda items;
o Coordinate follow-ups with education and cross-functional teams;
o Provide hands-on support to staff, physicians, learners and end users during Go-Live;
o Assist end users in workflow adoption. Provide one-on-one guidance, application and workflow support, and troubleshooting with end users;
o Identify and resolve issues and escalate when required, aligned with standard processes;
o Communicate information and changes to end users;
o Support documentation and administrative activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent;
o Enrollment in a Business Administration/Healthcare Administration or similar program recommended;
o Experience working in healthcare, education, or customer service is an asset;
o High level of flexibility to work days, weekends, evenings, and night shifts and adapt to changing work and schedules (12-hour shifts / available 7 days a week);
o Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Visio);
o Professionalism, ability to work with diverse group of healthcare stakeholders (Medical staff, Physicians, Project managers, etc.);
o Excellent attendance and highly reliable;
o Excellent customer service, people and organizational skills;
o Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both clinical and technical teams;
o Ability to work under pressure, solve problems and adapt to change;
o Demonstrated ability to work independently and also as a contributing team member;
o Must be able to learn quickly, understand and apply new technologies;
o Full vaccination in accordance with Niagara Health's Vaccination Policy.
