POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Niagara Health is entering a time of great opportunity and we are looking for exceptional individuals to be part of our extraordinary team and future that includes a focus on digital health technologies that scale both within and far beyond the traditional walls of the hospital.
As a valued member of the Digital Transformation Team, the Project Manager will play a crucial role in transforming how care is planned and delivered at Niagara Health through technology. Reporting to the Manager, Business Information Systems, the successful candidate will apply project management knowledge, technical expertise and interpersonal skills to successfully plan and execute projects to completion using standard project management methodologies, best practices, and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
o Manage technology-enabled projects for Niagara Health as assigned to the Digital Transformation portfolio.
o Collaborate with cross-functional project stakeholders to identify and coordinate interdependencies between projects.
o Manage project teams by using exceptional interpersonal, facilitation, team building, conflict resolution and coaching skills to support both individual and team goals.
o Monitor all project deliverables to ensure milestones are met on budget and on time.
o Establish routine communications with project team members to discuss the status of deliverables, identify and mitigate risks, budget, performance, and upcoming milestones.
o Manage vendor relationships for projects where required.
o Provide expertise surrounding change management and end user adoption of ICT solutions.
o Leverage and apply established Project Management process, tools and templates to execute projects in alignment with our enterprise methodologies, including development of project artifacts (e.g., project charters, project plans, risk logs, resource plans, budgets, status reports).
o Provide project updates to senior management and project stakeholders, including written status reports, verbal updates, and formal presentations.
o Take part in the Crisis on-call rotation approximately 7 days per 16-week rotation.
o Support and encourage Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in project teams and lead by example.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Community College or University degree specializing in business, project management IT or a health related field
o Minimum 5-10 years progressive and relevant experience, 3-5 years of which must be as a Project Manager
o CAPM or PMP designation required
o Preference given to candidates with experience in a health care IT environment and/or with experience delivering complex projects
o Technical expertise with cloud infrastructure implementations such as Azure will be considered an asset
o Demonstrated experience implementing IT systems and managing technical projects (e.g., infrastructure, network and cyber security implementations, enterprise system upgrades, integration of systems) considered an asset
o Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Suite including MS Project and SharePoint
o Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to tailor communication styles to different audiences (e.g., technical, non-technical, clinical, executive)
o Demonstrated ability to handle a large, diversified workload with competing and changing priorities as well as aggressive deadlines
o Exceptional time management, analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills
o Results-oriented with sound logical thinking and ability to influence change
o Ability to exercise independent judgment and take action
o Highly self-motivated and self-directed with keen attention to detail
o Consistent and regular attendance required
o Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset.
o Full vaccination in accordance with Niagara Health's Vaccination Policy.
