HOURS OF WORK: 75 HOURS PER PAY PERIOD, MONDAY TO FRIDAY, HYBRID WORK MODEL AVAILABLE

WAGE RANGE: $43.165 to $48.838 per hour
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Reporting to the Manager, Accounting and Budgets, the Intermediate Financial Analyst is responsible for the preparation of accurate and timely financial information for various programs of the Niagara Health System, including financial statements and various other reports. Strong analytical and communication skills are required, as well as the ability to work independently. To qualify, you must hold a professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA or CGA) with one to two years of experience as a Financial Analyst. The willingness to take initiative combined with the ability to work in a pressurized, time sensitive environment makes you our ideal candidate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Degree or diploma in Accounting or Business Administration
o Designated accountant - CPA (CA, CMA or CGA) designation required
o Minimum of 1 years' experience in financial analysis
o Understanding of GAAP and MIS practices
o Experience in financial analysis and interpretation of results including accrued, prepaid, and budget variances
o Solid experience with computerized accounting systems
o Excellent attention to detail
o Superior communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a multi-disciplinary team
o Ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment
o Strong computer skills required in all Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook)
o Evidence of effective organizational, leadership, judgment, critical thinking and decision-making skills
o Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision
o Consistent and regular attendance required
o Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset
o Full vaccination in accordance with Niagara Health's Vaccination Policy
