WAGE RANGE: $27.855 TO $29.997 PER HOUR
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Reporting to the Manager, Scheduling, the successful candidate will facilitate the scheduling of department staff for all units within the organization. The incumbent will be responsible for short call replacement of department staff as required for sick time, vacation and other requests; ensuring that all staff complements have been met. Other duties may be assigned as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Completion of Secondary School Diploma
o 2 years experience with staff scheduling.
o Knowledge of Scheduling related provisions in pertinent collective agreements required.
o Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Office Programs and related scheduling/payroll software.
o Experience in operating office equipment such as: photocopier, fax, printer, multiple line telephones & headset.
o Excellent keyboarding skills required.
o Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
o Must be willing and capable of working in fast paced environment.
o Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision with the ability to adapt easily to changes in work assignments.
o Ability to process scheduling information in a time sensitive, accurate manner with attention to detail.
o Demonstrates effective customer service, organizational, interpersonal, communication, judgment and decision-making skills.
o Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
o Must be available for all shifts including weekends, vacation replacement, sick time and paid holidays.
o Consistent and regular attendance required.
o Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset.
o Full vaccination in accordance with Niagara Health's Vaccination Policy.
