POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Niagara Health is entering a time of great opportunity and we are looking for exceptional individuals to be part of our extraordinary team and future to focus on digital health technologies that scale far beyond the traditional walls of the hospital. With a vision for supporting an efficient patient experience and a consistent approach to clinical best practices, Niagara Health is preparing to implement a modern Hospital Information System (HIS) in 2024.
The HIS Training & Go-Live Coordinator is responsible for the on-site logistics of training and go-live activities across all Niagara Health locations, under the direction of the Training and Conversion Manager and the Go-Live Manager. The HIS Training & Go-Live coordinator will have a keen ability to take initiative and problem-solve issues related to logistics, scheduling, and technology. They will spend the majority of their time on-site preparing the 5 Niagara Health sites and Hotel Dieu Shaver for training and go-live activities, so reliable transportation is a requirement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Coordinate training logistics for all sites including training room setup (e.g. furniture, devices, printing) and ongoing management of rooms throughout the training period
o Support the sourcing of training solutions as required
o Providing support to the training team through go live and stabilization
o Act as a logistics coordinator for readiness events and practice opportunities
o Assists with command centre planning and resourcing
o Assists the Go-live Manager with the creation of the Go-live support schedule, which requires a significant attention to detail
o Coordinates go-live logistics including setup of the command centre(s), management of supplies, and finding efficiencies during the go-live period
o Support the take-down of training rooms and command centre(s)
o Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Business Administration or Adult Education or equivalent, or equivalent business/clinical experiencece working in aealthcare and/or information technology setting
o Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
o Ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, in fast-paced, ambiguous situations.
o Able to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
o Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills
o A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines
o Willingness and ability to frequently travel to locations within the region
o A results-oriented focus is essential, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment and effectively manage multiple deliverables simultaneously
o People and team oriented with a strong ability to establish an excellent level of confidence, credibility and cooperation with internal and external stakeholders
o Ability to communicate well, both verbally and written, is essential
o Ability to present information clearly and effectively
o Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and MS Teams
o Full vaccination in accordance with Niagara Health's Vaccination Policy.
