WAGE RANGE: $53.772 TO $60.838 PER HOUR
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
In alignment with the Mission, Vision and Values of the Niagara Health System, we are recruiting a dynamic leader who excels in engaging people, promoting quality, building successful teams, planning and decision making. Reporting to the Manager of Cardiology, the successful individual, in collaboration with the Clinical Manager, will be responsible for the operational management of all aspects of the Cardiology Program. In this role, you will be accountable for the patient experience, day to day operations, patient flow, people management, fiscal stewardship, risk management and safety, and the provision of high quality care through a commitment to continuous improvement. The successful applicant will also provide after hours on call management support to the site on a rotational basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:
o Bachelor's degree in Nursing or other healthcare professional degree; Master's degree preferred
o Current registration with relevant regulatory body and membership in applicable professional association
o Certification in Cardiovascular Nursing preferred
o Minimum of 5 years related clinical experience
o Education and experience in best practice cardiovascular care
o Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of quality improvement
o Sound analytical skills including; conceptualizing, developing and executing a wide variety of projects
o Working knowledge of legislation impacting provincial healthcare and labour agreements
o Demonstrated knowledge of the RHPA and Individual Regulatory College Standards of Practice
o Demonstrated knowledge of Standards in Cardiac Care
o Demonstrated knowledge and application of evidence-based practice
o Demonstrated ability to lead teams and work effectively within an inter-professional team
o Demonstrated ability to manage a large/diversified workload with rapidly changing priorities and challenging deadlines
o Superior interpersonal and leadership skills including but not limited to; critical thinking, communication, responsiveness, conflict resolution, change management, visionary thinking, organizational skills, effective customer service, decision-making skills and problem solving
o Demonstrated commitment to continuing education in healthcare and/or business
o Familiarity with program development related to cardiac care is an asset
o Consistent and regular attendance required
o Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a new hire requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
