POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Analytics, the successful applicant will be responsible for the data submission of the Kidney Care Program data through the Ontario Renal Reporting System to Ontario Health Access to Care and the Ontario Renal Network, as well as the Oncology Systemic and Radiation data submissions to Ontario Health (Cancer Care Ontario). The successful applicant will provide support to the Senior Decision Support Performance Advisors to ensure the quality and integrity of the data submission and timely data preparation. The position will support the processes ensuring the accuracy, validity, consistency, and timeliness of the Renal and Oncology data used for submissions. The incumbent will demonstrate a strong commitment to Niagara Health's purpose, vision and values and will develop and maintain positive relationships with various internal and external stakeholders and act as a resource to the Kidney Care Program team, the Oncology Program team, and the Finance/Analytics/Case Costing team. The incumbent must demonstrate analytical and prioritization skills in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o University degree in Health Informatics, Business, or equivalent.
o Minimum 2 years experience with statistics, and analysis is required
o Knowledge and understanding of the Renal reporting requirements is preferred
o Knowledge and understanding of the Oncology Systemic and Radiation reporting requirements is preferred
o Knowledge and the ability to demonstrate use of hospital databases
o Working knowledge of MIS standards for statistical methodologies
o Working knowledge of Ontario Renal Reporting standards for Chronic Kidney Disease funding is an asset
o Working knowledge of the Cancer Care Ontario funding methodology is an asset
o Excellent attention to detail
o Advanced computer skills specifically in the use of Microsoft Excel and Crystal report writing
o Demonstrated ability to manage a diversified workload, multiple tasks concurrently and work within tight deadlines
o Evidence of strong technical and analytical skills, effective organizational, interpersonal, communication, leadership, judgment, and critical thinking skills.
o Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision
o Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
o Excellent attendance record
o Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset
o Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a new hire requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code
