POSITION OBJECTIVE:
This role is an exciting opportunity to grow professionally, develop new skills and take your career to a new level. Reporting to the HIS Project Director, the successful candidate will provide confidential administrative support and ensure that quality service is provided. This is a key position within the Hospital Information System (HIS) project team.

The Administrative Assistant serves as a liaison to the management team, organizing and coordinating project and organizational wide efforts. Working in a team-based environment that is mission-driven, results-focused, and customer oriented, the incumbent will support the HIS implementation from conception to completion, in addition to performing a variety of administrative tasks.

This role will have responsibilities for coordination of activities such as scheduling, presentation creation and preparation, minute taking, monitoring of policy and procedure documentation and purchase order management.

The incumbent should be comfortable supporting technology and may have responsibility for training and or supporting customers directly.

Additional daily activities and multi-site travel may be required.

The incumbent may be required to support activities outside of regular business hours.

QUALIFICATIONS:
o Community College diploma specializing in Office Administration or equivalent. Post-secondary education in a computer technology or healthcare related field or equivalent in related experience
o Three years minimum administrative experience in an administrative role, or related experience work experience in a healthcare setting would be an asset
o Demonstrated ability to handle a large and diversified workload with often rapidly changing priorities and challenging deadlines
o Demonstrated working proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Visio
o Demonstrated commitment to continuing education
o Experience working with or providing training related to computer technologies
o Evidence of effective organizational, interpersonal, communication, judgment, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills
o Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
o Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision
o Comfortable dealing with the media, community stakeholders, the public and handle complaint
o Consistent and regular attendance required
o Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset
o Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a new hire requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code
