This posting is for the collection of applications for general interest in Pharmacist positions at Niagara Health.

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
As a key member of the interdisciplinary health care team, you will apply your critical thinking skills and knowledge of drug therapy in the provision of safe and effective medication-related care for patients of Niagara Health. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, addressing patient-specific drug related problems, making recommendations related to optimization of medications, clinical review and processing of prescriber orders, supporting the Medication Reconciliation process. You will work collaboratively with other health professionals, meeting your scope of practice within the policy framework and pharmacy practice model of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:
o BSc Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
o Current registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists in part A of the register.
o Hospital pharmacy residency or related clinical experience preferred.
o Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
o Demonstrated effective problem solving and critical thinking skills.
o Demonstrated proficient computer skills.
o Previous experience with the Pharmacy Meditech module preferred.
o Evidence of professional development and continuing education. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
o Demonstrated organization and time management skills needed to handle a diversified and changing workload.
o Demonstrated leadership qualities.
o Demonstrated ability to adapt well to progressive change.
o Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
o Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
o Consistent and regular attendance required.
o Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset.
o Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a new hire requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
