HOURS OF WORK: 75 HOURS PER PAY PERIOD

WAGE RANGE: $36.445 to $41.234 per hours
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Reporting to the Manager, Recruitment & Volunteer Services the incumbent will ensure that quality service is provided and positions are filled with qualified candidates (internal or external) in a timely fashion. Responsibilities include; developing new job postings, screening resumes/application forms, participating in job interviews, conducting reference checks, and issuing verbal and written offers of employment. In this role, the successful incumbent will develop and maintain relationships with hiring managers and key stakeholders to provide expertise and consultation to help select qualified candidates on the unit. In addition to advising managers on all issues regarding the recruitment and workforce planning process, the incumbent will ensure that all related functions are carried out in accordance with collective agreements, relevant employment legislation, policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Completion of a Community College diploma specializing in Human Resources required
o CHRP preferred or in progress
o 2 years' experience providing high volume full recruitment cycle in an unionized environment
o Human Resources experience within a healthcare setting
o Familiarity with employee/labour relations and collective agreements
o Experience working with HRIS systems
o Excellent customer service skills and demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication
o Good working knowledge of all Microsoft applications (i.e., Word, Excel and Access).
o Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities and perform efficiently in a fast paced environment with attention to detail, analytical and problem solving skills
o Demonstrated professionalism and commitment to the vision and mission of the NH
o Flexible, self-directed, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision
o Consistent and regular attendance required
o Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code
