WAGE RANGE: $65.877 TO $74.533 PER HOUR
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The successful candidate will provide overall day to day operations and leadership in management of the Extended Care and Interim Long Term care (LTC) Units. The Administrator will be responsible for the human and financial resources (including budget, cost containment, supplies and equipment) and is responsible for planning and implementing standards of Long term Care, Ministry of LTC regulations and directives. Duties include the delivery of quality resident care and safety in accordance with established Program and Hospital policies and procedures, legislative requirements. The Administrator has responsibility and accountability for resident care coordination, development, implementation and maintenance of systems and processes that ensures the home is compliant with all directives and polices during a pandemic, ensures excellence in customer service and risk management of the assigned areas.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o At least 3-5 years of recent Leadership Experience in LTC.
o Completion of Diploma/Degree in Health Care related field
o Bachelor or masters prepared education achievement preferred.
o Successful completion of Long-term Care Administrator Leadership Program required.
o Knowledge and application of evidence-based practice.
o Knowledge and experience with the Ministry of LTC Homes act and regulations, Public Health Standards/operating procedures, Occupational Health and Safety Act and Accreditation process.
o Knowledge and experience leading a team during the pandemic.
o Demonstrated ability to lead teams and work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
o Demonstrated ability to manage a large and diversified workload with often rapidly changing priorities and challenging deadlines.
o Evidence of effective customer service, judgment, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
o Flexible, self-directed and able to multi-task.
o Demonstrated commitment to continuing education in healthcare or business.
o Excellent attendance record.
o Bilingual (French) is preferred.
o Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
