As part of the ICT Technical Support Team, the Technical Analyst will support various aspects of enterprise VOIP Unified Communication, network for seven site, two-organization network. The telecom/network Technical Analyst's role is to perform general system admin duties in a Aruba/HP/Cisco Network environment, contribute to LAN /WAN WLAN software design, architecture, and troubleshooting. This individual also participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. Provides a point of escalation as well as mentorship to Service Desk. This role takes part of the on-call rotation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o College Diploma in Computer Technology or University Degree in Computer Science and/or 5-10 years equivalent work experience
o Strong Knowledge in VOIP Network operations background with CISCO and HP - Routers, Switches
o Knowledge of Cisco VoIP systems including Cisco Call Manager and Unity voice mail systems
o HP ASE, CCNA, or Cisco Collaboration certification preferred
o Other certifications in ITIL, Cisco, HP, Microsoft or equivalent preferred
o Solid understanding of TCP/IP, the OSI model, as well as WAN, LAN technologies, and their role in server deployment (QoS, VLAN, STP, VPN,VRRP, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, ANYCAST).
o Knowledge of Cisco/Aruba Wireless Controllers, Access Points
o Knowledge of WLAN radio deployment & operational aspect, including radio coverage optimization
o Proven experience and success with VoiP implementation and troubleshooting
o Proven experience and success with VoiP Systems (Cisco)design and implementation would be considered an asset
o Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices
o Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products
o Self-starter with ability to self-manage at required service and work performance standards; Able to set high standards for results, and once achieved, able to raise the standards even higher
o Proven ability to create and maintain procedure documentation
o Previous Healthcare Experience would be an asset
o Actively involved in continuing education opportunities
o Proven ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders and to build strong relationships
o Proven analytical skills with an aptitude for process evaluation and problem-solving
o Ability to learn new areas of unfamiliar territory
o Evidence of effective customer service, organizational, interpersonal, communication, leadership, judgement, critical thinking and decision making skills
o Ability to meet, prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous tasks and deadlines
o Consistent and regular attendance required
