POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The COVID Clerk position will be a member supporting Niagara Health with COVID19 related activities. This position will assist with the scheduling of patients into the COVID clinic.
o Verifying patient information, provide an appointment date and time
o verify screening questions on referral form
o Provide direction and protocols to follow to the individual booking the appointment
This position will work at all COVID clinic areas and must be available for all shifts day, evening, night and on-call, 7 days a week.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Post-Secondary Diploma
o Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
o Good keyboarding skills with minimum 45 wpm.
o Working knowledge of computers and computer programs including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
o Knowledge of office equipment (telephone, fax, photocopiers).
o Evidence of high degree of accuracy.
o Excellent communication skills and ability to respect the confidentially of personnel and patient information.
o Compliance with confidential requirements under the Niagara Health Privacy Policy.
o Demonstrated professional attitude while interacting with the public, patients, employees and medical staff.
o Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
o Must be available for all shifts, , sick time and paid holidays vacation replacement.
o Flexible, self directed and able to work effectively
o Practices behaviors consistent with NH values (i.e. Compassion/Professionalism/Respect)
o Consistent and regular attendance required.
