POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Sr. Procurement Coordinator will repot to the Director of Strategic Sourcing & Logistics and will provide a lead in the sourcing of service, supply and capital equipment to meet organizational needs. This position is accountable for identifying new sources of supply, preparation of RFX documents, negotiations and implementation of contracts. Responsible for ensuring contracts are fulfilled in compliance with our SSO, vendor policies and customer specifications. The Sr. Procurement Coordinator will work closely with the co-coordinators, analysts, buyers and clerks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Possess CSCMP designation or undergraduate degree in business administration or equivalent.
o Minimum of 5 years related experience with a focus competitive procurement and innovation initiatives.
o Experience in Health Care Supply Chain Management is preferred.
o Experience with the negotiation and management of contracts.
o Ability to prepare and manage competitive procurement processes such as RFP and RFSQ.
o Working knowledge of BPS Broader Public Service Guidelines.
o Demonstrated experience to problem solve and facilitate resolutions in a timely and effective manner.
o Must be able to demonstrate sound judgment and initiative and be able work well independently or in team environment, committees to facilitate the resolution of complex issues.
o Demonstrated excellence in communication, mentoring and model positive change.
o Demonstrated behaviour that supports a customer focused team approach.
o Proficiency with Meditech, Materials Management Module is preferred.
o Demonstrated excellent working knowledge with Microsoft Office - Access, Excel, Outlook and Word.
o Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset.
o Consistent and regular attendance required.
