WAGE RANGE: 28.395 TO 32.126 per hour
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Onboarding Advisor will provide support to the Recruitment Services, and Compensation & Benefits functional areas within Human Resources through the administration and maintenance of new employee information. The incumbent will assist with new hires as it directly relates to the onboarding of external candidates. Duties will include, reference and criminal clearance checking, communicating job offers, new hire documentation, HRIS and system setup, employee file setup, benefits and pension enrollment, coordinating orientation, processing credit for past experience requests, scanning, communicating by phone and email, collaborating with members of the HR, Payroll, ICT, and Scheduling teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Completion of a College diploma specializing in Human Resources or Business Administration.
o A minimum of 1 year experience in Human Resources, focusing on Recruitment and Compensation and Benefits
o Work experience in a unionized Hospital setting an asset.
o Knowledge of Meditech payroll system is preferred.
o Work experience with a Human Resources Information System is preferred.
o Excellent English language written communication, record keeping and proofreading skills.
o Excellent computer skills in all Microsoft applications (ie. Word, Excel and Outlook).
o Demonstrated ability to handle a large and diversified workload with often rapidly changing priorities and challenging deadlines.
o Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, judgment and decision-making skills.
o Flexible, self-directed, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
o Demonstrated professionalism and commitment to the vision and mission of the NHS.
o Consistent and regular attendance required.
o Ability to travel between all NH hospital locations.
