WAGE RANGE: 22.509 TO 23.693
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Reporting to the Clinical Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day ordering of supplies, stocking of the clinical areas, cleaning of Endoscopy and Minor Procedure rooms, handling and pre-cleaning scopes, removal of linen and garbage, cleaning stretcher, assisting with patients flow, and the portering of patients to other departments/units within the hospital. Shift rotations are subject to change.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Successful completion of PSW Certificate program
o Experience in an endoscopy/operating room hospital environment
o Knowledge in equipment reprocessing in accordance with Central Sterilization and Reprocessing standards
o Education in sterile techniques room changeovers
o Current BCLS
o Knowledge of body mechanics for the pushing of stretchers and wheelchairs and proper patient transfer techniques required
o Previous experience with Endoscopy/O.R. equipment and supplies and in assisting in patient positioning
o Working knowledge of computers
o Evidence of effective customer service, organizational, interpersonal, communication, judgment and decision-making skills
o Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
o Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively within a fast pace environment.
