JOB TITLE: SUPPORTIVE CARE STUDENT, TFT
STATUS: TEMPORARY FULL TIME
DEPARTMENT: WALKER FAMILY CANCER CENTRE
LOCATION: ST. CATHARINES SITE
HOURS OF WORK: 75 HOURS PER PAY PERIOD, MONDAY TO FRIDAY
POSTING DATE: 3 December 2019
CLOSING DATE: 20 December 2019
UNION: NON UNION
WAGE RANGE: $22.00 to $24.89
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Working to promote excellence and quality this student will temporarily support members of the Walker Family Cancer Centre team in completing oncology projects such as Mosaiq upgrade, DI requisition and referral automation. This student will also work with the oncology clinical applications specialist to build and support radiation care plans. The student will report to the WFCC clinical manager and will work at the St. Catharines Site.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Working to complete or has completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree
o Project management skills will be considered an asset.
o Excellent knowledge of computers and Microsoft Programs
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Integrates reflection, critical thinking, education and relevant practical experience in problem solving
o Applies Niagara Health values and professional practice standards to patient/client care and service
o Consistent and regular attendance required
