HOURS OF WORK: ON CALL AS NEEDED

WAGE RANGE: $26.037 to $29.459
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Reporting to the Regional Supervisor, Payroll. The incumbent will assist in the day-to-day operation of the Payroll Service and preparation of timely, accurate and complete payroll payments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Level 1 of the CPA Certificate Program or the equivalent in related experience in a complex payroll environment required.
o Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
o Understanding of Source Deduction analysis and reconciliation.
o Knowledge of HOOPP preferred.
o Excellent Keyboarding skills required.
o Basic knowledge of general accounting principles.
o Strong computer skills required in all Microsoft applications ( i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook)
o Ability to work in a high-pressure, time sensitive environment.
o Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
o Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
o Evidence of effective organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
o Consistent and regular attendance required.
o Flexible in work schedule
o Consistent and regular attendance required
o Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset.
o Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a new hire requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code
