UNION: SERVICE EMPLOYEE'S INTERNATIONAL UNION-SERVICE
WAGE RANGE: $23.266 to $24.475

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Reporting to the Regional Manager, Clinical Nutrition, this position is responsible for processing patient meals and nourishments and producing reports for Food Services for all sites of the Niagara Health System utilizing medDietary nutrition software.

QUALIFICATIONS:
o Secondary School diploma or equivalent.
o Minimum of one year experience within the past 2 years as a Diet Assistant working extensively with a broad range of therapeutic diets and/or current enrollment in either a University level Human Nutrition program or Nutrition & Food Service Management diploma program.
o Food Handlers Certification required.
o Knowledge of medical/diet therapy terminology.
o Excellent computer skills including the ability to operate word processing software.
o Typing speed of 50 words per minute.
o Experience with data entry using a nutrition software program.
o Excellent communication and oral skills required.
o Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
o Must be available for all shifts, vacation replacement, sick time and paid holidays.
o Consistent and regular attendance required.
o Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset.
o Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a new hire requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
