WAGE RANGE: 44.722 TO 50.599 per hour
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The successful candidate will be part of the Decision Support Team and be responsible to provide leadership regarding health data analytic requirements and anticipate information needs and creatively develop ways to access, manage, analyze, interpret and present data that meets both internal and external reporting requirements. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and integrity of the databases/data mart, report creation and identify integrity/control issues with the source departments and systems. In addition, the incumbent will manage all clinical and statistical data needs and work collaboratively with their assigned clinical programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Degree or Masters in Business/Health Administration with an emphasis in statistics or Health Information Management or related field.
o Minimum of 3 years of experience with statistics and health data analytics preferably in a healthcare environment with strong aptitude for analysis and interpretation.
o Working knowledge of utilization and clinical health data analysis (DAD, NACRS, RUGS, FIM, RAI, OMHRS and CMG/RIW/HIG methodologies as well as Meditech modules) and MIS standards for statistical collection and workload methodologies. Preference for individuals who possess or are working towards the MIS Level 1 Diploma.
o Ability to work in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.
o Strong computer skills required in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and Database Management tools (eg. VISIO, Crystal, SQL, SAS, SPSS), as well as experience with patient/health information systems.
o Excellent organizational skills and the ability to set priorities in a fast-paced environment.
o Superior communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team setting.
o Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset
