WAGE RANGE: 40.954 TO 46.336 per hour
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
As part of an Extraordinary team a successful candidate will administer ServiceNow and help to support our SharePoint environment. The Systems Administrator will play a crucial role supporting stakeholders internally and externally to Niagara Health. Leveraging experience in a healthcare or public sector setting, this role will collaborate with various programs to identify ways technology can enhance systems and methods for sharing information to enhance patient care and protect health information. This role will be responsible for interacting with customers and vendors to optimize and sustain current systems. They will also facilitate and support integrated system testing, requirement gathering, developing, and documenting policies and procedures, while acting as a liaison between end users and ICT. This role will take part in an on-call rotation.
Additional Responsibilities:
o Design modifications or enhancements to ServiceNow modules deployed such as Incident, Problem, Service Request and Change Management but not limited to.
o Support the team responsible for the implementation and administration of the ServiceNow installation including system configurations, gathering and documenting user and process requirements, workflow customizations, and supporting quality assurance teams.
o Configuring, maintaining, modifying and developing a share point sever portal
o Coordinating with vendors, external partners, and the clinical community to ensure information systems meets the organization's needs
o Creating reports and dashboards to support decision making by the clinical community, identifying relevant sources of data/evidence in order to assess the quality and benefits of information and draw appropriate conclusions
o Coordinating software updates and changes
o Identify and act on improvement opportunities to ensure optimization of systems
o Delivering of periodic training sessions of NH staff
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Five years' experience working in a hospital or environment relating to health care would be an asset
o Three year diploma or undergraduate degree in a health or computer related field
o Experience with ServiceNow platform would be an asset
o Experience with SharePoint would be an asset
o Experience creating HTML templates
o Experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
o Experience in one (or more) scripting languages: JavaScript, Python, Perl, Unix Shell, Windows Shell)
o ITTL certification would be an asset
o Experience with a health information system would be an asset
o Ability to learn new areas of unfamiliar territory in a fast paced environment
o Experience with Microsoft applications including Excel and Word
o Background/experience providing project or technology based support to a team
o Experience with hospital based computer systems
o Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
o Proven analytical skills with an aptitude for process evaluation and problem-solving.
o Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
o Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
o Consistent and regular attendance required.
