WAGE RANGE: $35.879 TO $40.594 per hour
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
As part of a dynamic Information Solutions team, the Systems Administrator will play a crucial role supporting stakeholders internally and externally to Niagara Health. Leveraging experience in a clinical setting this role will collaborate with various programs to identify ways technology can support and enhance patient care.
This role will be responsible for working with customers and vendors to optimize and sustain current systems such as Meditech. They will also facilitate and support integrated system testing, requirements gathering and developing and documenting policies and procedures, while acting as a liaison between end users and ICT.
Additional Responsibilities:
o Providing support for eHealth initiatives across the Niagara Health
o Lead and conduct current and future state analysis of clinical systems and processes
o Lead the analysis and documentation of clinical requirements and expected outcomes to aid in the design and automation of processes
o Coordinating with vendors, external partners, and the clinical community to ensure information systems meets the organization's needs
o Creating reports and dashboards to support decision making by the clinical community, identifying relevant sources of data/evidence in order to assess the quality and benefits of information and draw appropriate conclusions
o Coordinating software updates and changes
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Three year diploma or undergraduate degree in a health or computer related field
o Registration with applicable healthcare affiliated professional college preferred
o ITIL Certification would be an asset
o Five years' experience working in a hospital environment
o Background/experience providing project or technology based support to a team
o Experience with hospital based computer systems
o Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
o Proven analytical skills with an aptitude for process evaluation and problem-solving
o Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
o Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervision
o Consistent and regular attendance required
